Durable Outdoor Furniture
Poly-wood is a material that is made from recycled plastic, yet is more stable than regular plastic. Poly-wood also has the advantage of not looking as cheap as plastic, as it is a heavier material that won't warp or break like plastic does, and to a larger degree emulates natural wood in its properties.
Stonecrest Furniture have a great selection of patio or outdoor furniture that is made to last years because the material is Poly-wood, and it comes in a selection of 12 different colors, six of which are traditional, to fit in with conventional decor.
Around this time of year we are all thinking of the coming summer, and one of the spring jobs is to pull the outdoor furniture out of storage and check it out. Unfortunately, most of the cheap plastic furniture is looking old and tired, because that is what plastic does, even after just one season of use. On the Stonecrest Furniture website, they give a good list of comparisons as to why their Poly-wood is a great investment rather than a throw-away disposable waste of dwindling resources. I found it interesting that they had collections, that is of course, matching items in a set, as well as one-off single items, and for anyone with a set budget, you can choose the option of shopping by price.

Finally!
It took me awhile to visit everyone here.. So glad I have finally did visit some people. I have added those people who left messages on my tag board too. I have been meaning to do this for some time now. It's one of those things that's always in the back of your mind and will potentially add to the stress you already have. Sometimes I kick myself for doing this. Back in the old days, life was much simpler. I come home from work, cook supper and unwind for the night, watch tv or something. Now, I am making more work for myself, especially having more than one blog. I am loosing my mind sometime!

Bose Home Theater
29 March 2008
Bose are a world leader in audio products. I remember a few years ago seeing the name on the speakers at a disco, and wondering how they got them to play so loud without distortion. Now we are about to be shopping for a Bose home theater and the name Bose is what I want to see on the equipment that Hubby gets set up in our home theater. We already tried a cheap setup a few years ago, but had to take it back, it just was no good. So, this time around, we are going to be buying Bose.

Low Cost Airfares at Shermans Travel
Airfares are always something I watch out for. The cost of going home to the Philippines has risen, of course, in the 12 years that I have been married. So, it is good to find an easy way to compare the fares, as well as packages for holidays. Shermans Travel have cheap flights as well as a handy way to access all the good websites that have the great deals for cruises, vacations, as well as hotel rates, and, what is important for me, airfares.

Unexpected
23 March 2008

No one expects the weather we had yesterday. We woke up with a bunch of snow on the ground and it was still falling by 10am. We went to a swimming b-day party and I was in trouble driving to town because of the snow. Having a four-wheel car certainly helps but I would rather stay home than drive in this condition. Some of the people wasn't able to go to the party.

22 March 2008

Now there is a website that has been in business for over 4 years, and can recommend several types of diet pills, as well as offering instant savings coupons that will save you money on your purchases.

Men's Fashion Will Suit Husbands As Well As Hunks!
My Hubby is always making fun of himself for having a beer-belly, but he doesn't drink, but he also doesn't exercise! He actually, with a little bit of working out have quite a reasonable body for his age, even if his butt has receded a bit!! I believe that buying good quality men's fashion clothing can make a difference to how a guy looks, and to his self-confidence. Right now, John has a couple of favorite shirts that he tends to wear more than others, and it is no surprise that they are the ones that I paid the most for. Urbanbody.com , from the look of things, cater to younger guys, but, I see more than a few things that I might just get ordered later today, it will update Hubby for the summer.

Women And Mens Hot Lingerie!
My Hubby really is funny at times. He was trying to convince me to buy some hot lingerie online the other day by saying that it is just like a bikini, except you wear stuff over it most of the time. Or maybe not! Lingeriediva.com is a very descriptive name for a website that sells lingerie online, and they have some good deals going on right now and the orders are shipped in plain packaging, so the neighbors will never know what I am up to!
Girls! You havta go to this website just to check out the Mens Lingerie - well worth a visit just for looking at the hunks!

Condo Hotels - An Investment With Income
Condo Hotels are a good way to get the best of two worlds. If you are renting for a vacation, you have the choice of independence and privacy, together with the available conveniences you expect from a hotel. Condo Hotels are catching on world-wide as a great investment, too. In overseas locations, you might expect to have sufficient income from the property to pay for itself, and of course if located in a US city, your condo hotel rental can cater to the semi-long term businessperson who likes to have family along when on extended trips.

18 March 2008
I have been monitoring ppp for the big one every Tuesdays. I still couldn't get the $50 opp. I know I have to beat everyone there and it's just so frustrating when you refresh your page after 2 minutes and there it is, all grey! hehehehe....I don't think I will be able to get that. They are giving away 10 $50 opps(i think) every Tuesday and I am really hopefully every Tuesday that I will get one:) some people are just so lucky catching them! LOL

Golfing Vacation At Branson Missouri
16 March 2008
Summer is really just around the corner. I am still young enough that time goes slowly, but older people tell me that as you age, it goes faster. It is a funny thing, but people who like golf, like it a lot. They seem to go for golf logos on everything, or maybe it is just that they get golf stuff as gifts. Anyway, They call Branson Missouri "The Live Entertainment Capitol of the World" and who knows, they might be right on the mark with that. There is more than golf, there is a whole vacation delight, with more than 45 theaters and music shows. The accommodation runs from condos to log cabins. Looks like a fun place to go.

Cheaper gas
We top up my tank in New Brunswick today after spending the day at an indoor amusement park there. They have cheaper gas there, I saved about 7cents a liter. Quite the difference in price here. My son and his friend, who tagged along with us, had a wonderful time there. With a bracelet, they had the advantage of going on rides one after another. His friend threw up after about 3 or 4 different rides though. But still I thought that was a great way to end up their March break.

US Mortgage Refinancing
14 March 2008
Mortgages - this is a common word in the news these days, but the facts may not all be bad. There is a need for business to be 'as usual' as it can be during times when things are not as easy as they were a while back. Home mortgage refinance is still a good option, and current rates are not too bad. By obtaining mortgage refinance you can protect your investment against current market swings. At Ehomemortgagerefinance.com you can search for Mortgage companies that will provide you with the mortgage that will secure your financial future.

Hopefully the snow that is forecast will hold off for a bit, as we are planning to take a little trip to an amusement park a few hundred miles away. I have no idea if it will be in full operation, or what they have there in winter, but I hope to find out!

Oysters, Mmmmm, Yummee

Oysters, like other shellfish, for many years have been considered an aphrodisiac, but this is probably not a reality. However they do taste great. I remember the first time I had them, at a restaurant in Davao City, Philippines. It was hard not to keep going back time and again for more, but fortunately, the restaurant was a long way from home, across the other side of the city. Although pregnancy made me absolutely crave for them. Many people enjoy oysters raw, and this is generally an OK thing to do, although some people may be considered at-risk for other reasons, such as pre-existing medical problems such as immune system issues, diabetes, liver disorders, and other stuff, so for them, it is great that oysters can be obtained that have been treated to make them less risky for those individuals. The treatment consists of things such as individual quick freezing, some pasteurizations, or high hydrostatic pressure treatment, and any of these will add convenience to the product, as well as making it safer for those 'at-risk' consumers. Mmmmmm, just thinking of them makes me want some nice Gulf oysters right now!

The Gas Prices Soar......here is some math.
So, the price of oil went up again, and now the weekly gas price adjustment that takes place in Nova Scotia every Friday has been added on for today - 5 cents per litre. That is, like, 22 and a half cents a gallon, or 20 cents a US gallon. Trouble is, I have to use it, I have to go and see my family 60 miles away, so that is 120 miles each trip. At some point, I suppose, we have to be sensible, and look at how long I expect to have my current vehicle, and whether it might pay to get a smaller one. I do 60 miles a week for work. Add on the 120 at the weekends, that is 180 a week. Plus some other running around. Say, 200 a week. 42 gallons a month. With a small car doing 40 MPG instead of 19, I would save 22 gallons a month. That is roughly 118 bucks saving. Almost enough to finance a new car.

Is The Old Camera Good Enough?
John, my 'better half' is trying to get use to using the 'old' camera. I am trying to get a new one, a SLR, but he now says that he thinks that the one we have might be better than we think it is, it is just a case of looking at the instruction book, and figuring out what it all mean. Time to back off the pressure for a bit until he has found out that it is not so good!

US Residents Online Casino Listings
10 March 2008
If you are a US resident who is also a regular USA online casino player, you will already be aware that not all online casinos are available for you to play at. I suppose this is really a good thing, as it probably means that those USA casinos that ARE available have been found to meet US government specifications with regard to payouts versus pay-ins, which in turn might give you a better chance of winning, or make the winnings higher per payout. So, it is good that you no longer have to browse through seemingly endless lists of casinos, finding the reviews, and hoping that the reviews have mention of whether the casino can be used by US players. Usaplayerswelcome.com is a website dedicated to bringing you listings of approved USA online casinos that as a US based player, you can use without hassle or further searching around. The listings indicate approval in all states, so you don't even have to go through looking up your own particular state of residence. Now, why didn't I think of that?

HDMI Networking Cables And Plugs
08 March 2008
Networking is the way to go with computing. We have a small home network, and it allows us to use the old computers for storage of files, as well as for functions to run in the background without slowing up our main computer. High-Definition Multimedia Interface, or HDMI is the easy way to go for us, as it gives good transfers, easy setup, and a low cost method of transferring video or audio digitally.

Window Shutters For A Wide Window Effect
We at last have some spare cash to upgrade different things in life. I am going to focus on the house this summer, as the vehicles situation is OK for now, and anyway, is more Johns area of expertize. So, I have looked into replacing all the old windows, which, apart from the kitchen window, are the old style single glazed, with add-on storm windows. I figure that we will get the cost back within 10 to 5 years, just on heating savings.
Anyway, here is my problem, I want a modern look, but don't want the expense of fitting wider windows, as the current windows are higher than they are wide. So, here's where I get creative!
Shutters! I came across the website of Larson Shutter Company who sell exterior shutters for house windows. So, I am thinking, I just add shutters, and I will get the wider 'look' that I want, without having to hack the house to pieces fitting wider windows. The shutters will add a wider look to the windows. So, having decided to go that route, all I have to decide now is the type of shutter, and material, from the selection at larsonshutter.com

I have been keeping this blog up-to-date with posts. But yesterday was a bit hectic for me and did not post anything. Well, today is a little hectic too. My son is going to the city today. So my hubby and I are free for the day! yahoo!

I Locked Myself Out!
My Hubby John has a 'new' car, a 1995 Nissan Altima. It is in great shape, but I took it out for the first time last weekend, and had to be rescued. I stopped to go shopping ( another great hobby of all us gals!) and locked it, then when I came out, couldn't open it up. I had to phone for Hubby to rescue me, and he asked why I had locked it, as he never had, and needed to test the locks with the windows rolled down before locking it. The only problem was, he never told me that - he assumed that I would not lock it, even though I always lock my Jeep. His reasoning was that there is not even a radio in the car, so there is nothing to steal. Go figure!! Men !

How well do you know?

Just bear with me - What is the favourite name that Oyster couples name their female children? Simple, - Pearl!

Now, you may think that that was a bad joke, but if you really want something bad, try getting sick due to lack of knowledge about eating oysters, as, although oysters are great tasting and nutritious, we all do have to take care and pay attention to what we are doing when we eat them. For instance those of you with diabetes, liver problems, or just a generally weak immune system are best avoiding undercooked or raw oysters. There is help in being informed, though, as a group of interested parties including several southern State departments have put together a website that will give you more details about how to safely handle this exceptional food (and taste!) source, with their focus being on Gulf oysters.

Warm and slippery
It's quite nice to feel the warmth of the sun again. We were supposed to have storm yesterday, reason why they cancel the school. But it did not happened, quite the opposite actually. Although it was slippery and slashy in some places, it was actually not that bad. But then again, it was better to cancel the school rather than have someone get injured.
It rained last night, temperature way above the freezing point, so today, we woke up with a shinny driveway. It was difficult to drive in and out of this condition. I have to put my car into neutral so I'll have some control of the car.

Look great, feel great.
It's amazing how the modern-day technology has brought so much in today's world. I've seen celebrities that I remember from a long time ago, and they seem like they have never aged, even from when I had seen them on TV when I was like 10 or something.
There are a lot of ways you can preserve your youthful looks nowadays. Dr. Min S. Ahn, directs the Aesthetic Wellness Center of Boston. They offer surgical and non-surgical solutions that will enhance both the way you look and the way you feel. I think it's important to look great, as it gives us self-confidence, which is always good to have. The Aesthetic Wellness Center is known for its use of up-to-the-minute techniques that produce exceptional results in their patients.Boston plastic surgery has a leading clinic, in the Aesthetic Wellness Center.

No School Again
Well, kids are happy again today. Another day off from school. Another two days and they are off again for a week. It's a little cloudy outside, no storm yet. It may come in later on. It's better to be safe than sorry, I guess. Well, my son is planning his week off now. He can't decide what to do yet, but he'll probably will spend the week off at my parent's place. He's still not sure what to do, but I know I owe him dinner at a chinese restaurant, so I'll probably take him one night next week.

Cincinnati Facial Plastic Surgery
One of the most significant facial areas is the nose. It is also an area that from person to person varies in shape quite significantly. The surgical process to beatify the nose area is called rhinoplasty, and the leading clinic for Cincinnati rhinoplasty is Dr Donath's, at cincyfacialplastics.com
From the outset, your mind will be at ease, and many questions are already answered at the website. Dr. Donath's practice also offers other facial surgery, including facelifts, and brow modifications, both for age reversal or just appearance choice. This can be the start of setting your mind at ease.

Lose one, Gain one
Well, everybody knows that blogs are rated with it's PR and of course, everybody is in the mercy of google. I was happy when this blog gained PR3 after a few months, but it was short-lived because now they have taken it back to 0. Will, I was expecting it will happen soon. It happened to me before and some of my friends here experienced the same thing. Will I gained it back? I doubt it, but hey it was good while it lasted.

Businesses can fluctuate in income, or have a need to expand rapidly to take advantage of sales trends, and so at times need quick financial availability. The key to speed in this case is for the financing to be unsecured, and the service to be top of the line. The unsecured way, there are no delays caused by feasibility studies etc.
Business loans and lines of credit up to $350,000 or for smaller amounts, business credit cards for up to $50,000 are available with no documents. Going higher, how about up to a million, provided a documented good track record is the case. The advantages of being unsecured are not just the speed, but also the ease, as well as freedom from expenses in setting the financing up.

UK Insurance for Vehicles
04 March 2008
When my Jeep got hit by another car, I was really glad that we had full insurance coverage on it, even though John had made the monthly premium lower by increasing the deductible to £250. Because the accident was entirely the other drivers fault, his insurance company paid for the rental car, so all we were left with was the bill for the extra rental car coverage. John made sure we had that, because he said that it would be absolutely typical luck if we had an accident while renting the car. Car Insurance is really important to have, and although we complain about the cost, it really isn't that much, when you consider that the repair costs for my Jeep were over £1000. Then there was the week-plus long car rental on top of that. And that was for an accident where there was no injury involved. Imagine getting the some situation occurring and having legal billing to add to the costs, because of getting sued or something, if it had been my mistake that caused the accident. Just a simple solicitors visit could easily put it way over what I would want to pay, considering that it would be an unexpected expense which generally means 'credit card' so there would be interest charges added to the cost as well. At autonetinsurance.co.uk you can get an online quote, or give them a free call.

Building up on me..
I am a little pressure right now, so many tasks to do. Aside from catching up with my visiting with friends here and adding new friends to my link, I have some paperwork to do too. As every one knows, it tax time and I really wanted to finish everything before it will build up on me. I have to do not just our tax returns, but returns of my folks and brother too, so it's gonna be a busy, busy days ahead of me.

BMW cars, being upscale, are generally left alone by their owners as far as adding custom items in concerned. That fact adds to the value of standing out in the crowd, so it is good to see that myhotbmw.com stock BMW Body Kits. Remember, the appearance value is multiplied over the same effect on a car of less quality. Well worth looking at.

An Apology to My Blogger Friends
Just to apologize to my blogger friends, I have been really busy just lately, I know that most of you know how it is, doing the 'rounds' takes a few hours, and it is also a little less interesting to get started than writing blog material, although once I get around to see other blogs, it is interesting to see those that have changed a lot, and to read the latest news from those who I am familiar with. Also, I wanted to add those people who asked to be linked and I haven't do anything yet. So, again I apologize. Next week is March break, hopefully, I will be able to catch up on things here.

A Relaxing Day Ahead
I have woken up to the sight of a warmer day, no snow, no rain yet, but it is forecast, and the housework is just about up to date, just a few washes to do, and the rest of the day until I go to work is mine. I can get rid of hubby (Hubbies can be useful, but are often annoying when they are around at the wrong time)as he said he had stuff to do, which for him means fiddling with car things. So I am free to relax today. About time!

Peoples Health Insurance Agency
03 March 2008
Since retiring , my Hubby has been without as much insurance coverage as he had when working. So, we are thinking that it is time to beef up his coverage.
Many websites that offer health insurance comparisons are really just sites with links to insurance company web pages. Peoples Health Insurance, at peopleshealthinsurance.com are actual agents, who are in the business of looking after their clients interests in obtaining suitable health insurance coverage, and understanding exactly what is provided by the insurance company. Take Illinois health insurance for example, being a diverse state with many different occupations and associated occupational hazards that insurers take into account at different levels when offering insurance coverage, Illinois premiums can vary widely from insurer to insurer. So, by having an agent working for you, you can save money, and get understandable coverage terms to suit your finances, while being assisted by licensed agents.

First day of work..
It was another very short weekend for us here. It seems like I have nothing done again. My mom and I went out for a bit on Saturday, and then Sunday I was in the city spending time with my folks there. Came home last night and settled in. Now, it's another work week. Will start at 4pm today, so I'll have some time in the morning to do some stuff. Hubby and I went to Fletchers again to have our breakfast after dropping Arvin off to school. It's kinda nice not to prepare breakfast once in awhile and to just spend time with each other. Catch up on some things. Then we went to the mall. Walked off the calories we just consumed. So now, here I am, trying to see if I can catch some blogging before going to work again...

Promotional Products
02 March 2008
Advertising can be more than an instant of TV or radio airtime, or a single day newspaper showing. Imagine a situation where, say, 5,000 local people see your company name several times a day - entirely possible by using promotional products that are tailored to your business model.

There are lots of ways you can promote your company, you can give away pens as a promotional items . Or if you're thinking of promoting your employee, you can give them corporate gifts such as watches that bears your company's name. Promopeddler.com is the place to go get these items. They have cool items that are good for giving away and at the same time advertising your product or name. The secret in making promoting in this manner a great move, is to have the items worth owning, say mug for example, that is why at promopeddler.com they have top brand name products, yet when purchased in bulk the prices are kept to economical levels to allow great returns per dollar invested.

US Helicopter Accident Lawyers
Helicopter accidents are more frequent than airplane accidents, in fact, ninety times more frequent. The reasons for this can be complex, but there are repeat factors as well, to the extent that there is now a group of lawyers that specializes in helicopter accidents. To locate a local helicopter accident lawyer just go the the website helicopteraccidentattorney.com and you are able to do a nationwide search. The website also has interesting facts and general information regarding helicopter accidents, which by the very nature of helicopter usefulness, are statistically quite often occurring in high population areas.

Not bad
It's not too bad actually. This is what it look like after they fix my Jeep. It was badly dented after I got hit with another car while driving on the highway one snowday day in December. It was one of the scariest moment I have ever encountered. I have been driving for awhile and I am always confident even though I have some close-call never. But after that event in December, I am now very nervous driving in snow.

Motorcycle Leather Clothing
Motorcycling is a pastime that has gained popularity in recent years. It is good to feel the wind as you ride, but it is also better to make sure that you are well protected if you come into contact with the road. The fact is, most riders do, at some point in their riding experiences. Leather has been the answer to protection for years, and it remains so. It is interesting to see that The Bazaar Online at www.thebazaaronline.com have great selection of motorcycle leather clothing for the upcoming summer biking season. They also have a good selection of things such as helmets, boots, wallets, and more, and all at great prices that beat the competition.

Driving can be worrying
I have to drive down to the city where my family live, to take them home after a weekend visit to my place, and right now it is raining heavily after the snow, so the driveway is full of slush, and the quiet road we live on looks very slushy too, so I am hoping that the Trans-Canada highway will be salted enough to melt the icy stuffs and allow me to keep up a good speed because if not the big trucks seems to whiz by and shower me with water and slush.

Mexico Vacations For a Great Getaway
01 March 2008
With all the winter weather returning, I was browsing through vacation websites, and found some good deals 'South of the border, down Mexico way" as the old song went. Up here in Canada, we get what is known as 'cabin fever', which is almost like a depression caused by lack of Sun during the winter months, so, I think it might be too late to arrange for this year, but next year, I might leave some vacation time open to use in the winter to get away. Now that my family is here already, it is more convenient. I was looking at Rocky Point vacation rentals and they have just about every type of accomodation to suit all tastes. It would be good to maybe have the privacy of a self-catering place, and eat out all the time at restaurants, as the food is quite good value down in Mexico, so I have been told. They have regular hotels too, which would suit me, but not Hubby. Anyway, I have to get into a different lifestyle here, because this winter and the winter blahs are driving me nuts!

Weekend, but the fun is limited!
Hmmm, so the weekend that I waited for all week is here, and guess what, about 6 inches of snow this evening, then it started to rain, and the forecast for tomorrow is getting below freezing, with the rain turning to snow. Hmmmm. I was getting really upbeat about summer being on the way soon, but then this happens. I am just hoping that it will clear up later in the week, and the temperatures will rise, right now the Moon looks very small, so as it goes over to being a full Moon, the temperature should rise, that's how it seems to work.

Luxury Jewelry

Wow - Jewelry. I just had a look at a webpage that has all kinds of a girls best friend, diamonds. Actually it is about time my Hubby John bought me some more gold and diamonds, it has been quite a while now. Perhaps if I leave the computer on at the webpage I am talking about, firenzejewels.com , he will take the hint. Or maybe I should be more direct. The great thing about some jewelry is that you just KNOW it will be around for years, you can just see that it is high quality, and that even after you are not around any more, it can be passed on. For instance, an antique style engagement ring , although of course I already have an engagement ring, but if you go and look around firenzejewels.com you can see there what I mean. The company of Firenze Jewels Inc. was established back in 1937 and is family owned and operated. This is really above average high-end jewelry that they are showing, with great styles. The website really is quite comprehensive and what I found interesting is that they have the gem quality figures in the description, and some items are really affordable even for my Hubby, especially as they have an investment value, which he always considers.

I have been waiting for this!
Finally, my other blog, Some Thoughts I Have gained it's PR today. I am so happy changing it to it's own domain. It's a blogger's hope that her/his blog will get some PR. I am just hoping for the best that it won't be taken from me again instead, I am hoping that it will grow. I am really worried because some of my friends here lost their PR recently. You can never know what's you're going to wake up to. But for now, I am happy that 3 of my blogs got some PR:)

US Residents Supplemental Medicare Coverage
It is interesting that as we get older, we become aware of snags in being older that we never thought of when we were young! So, it is good to see a webpage for catering directly to older people, at least that what my old hubby says! Seriously though, at maturehealthcenter.com they have a medicare advantage plan that supplements where Medicare leaves off. They also have other plans for dental, long term care, etc. It really does make sense.

Logo Pens Get Your Company Name Seen
Pens are a great way to get your company name out into the world. Like, how often have you noticed a logo on a pen that a person is using, and either recognized the company name, even though it may be a small local company, or not recognized it and have taken another look to see what it is. That is the reason logo pens have been popular for as long as they have, quite simply, as an advertising tool at low cost, they work.

Large Corporation Employs Bully-Boy Tactics To Perpetuate Their Unjust Profits
The small company Life lock, who protect you from identity theft, are being criticised and sued by Expe***n, a credit report company, for setting what they call 'credit alerts'. This costs Expe***n money, because they have to check things more before issuing their outputs. Let's look at what is happening here, in reality. Expe***n appear to have a flawed system that allows your identity to be easily stolen. Lifelock are actually forcing them to do what they are supposed to, and what they are taking consumers money to do, and really should be morally obliged to do. So, Expe***n, the large bully-boy who is apparently set up to take money yet not supply the goods, and takes money yet fails to provide sufficient security, is suing a small outfit, Lifelock, because Lifelock have made a business out of forcing Expe***n to do what they are taking money to do. This is absolutely typical of how morally barren large corporations are behaving these days. Their argument is that it is not allowed for people to have a company like Lifelock represent them in credit matters. If we follow this argument, then Expe***n should not be allowed to have lawyers represent them in this matter. I believe that it is my right to employ whomever I wish to represent me. Shame on you Expe***n.
