Payday Loans Allow Financial Versatility
29 February 2008
Living on a week-to-week basis is OK, but it has limitations. For instance, have you ever noticed that the people who pick up bargains are the ones who can get their hands on money easily? It is actually possible for anyone to place themselves into a similar position by being pre-positioned to take out an online payday loan, as such loans can be a real assistance to you in lowering stress levels, and having a reasonable lifestyle, by allowing you to, for instance, prevent yourself getting overdrawn on your bank account, if, say, you have paid a bill twice by mistake. At easyonlinepaydayloan.com there are just a few simple criteria to be met before you can have the advantages offered, they are that you must be working or have regular income that must be $1000 per month or more, have a bank account that is set up with a direct deposit system, and of course, you must be 18 years of age or more and a US citizen. The funds, once approved, will be placed into your bank account the next business day, and the actual approval process takes only minutes. The payday loan is guaranteed by the next paycheck, so that gives the security needed, as these are not unsecured loans, they are totally fully secured by the next paycheck, just make sure you are budgeting to allow for any charges for the loan. There are governmental legal protections and limitations in place to protect the consumer, and you can read more about this at the website easyonlinepaydayloan.com

Driving a different Car
It always makes me a bit nervous to drive a car that I am unfamiliar with. I am hoping in a way that John will go and pick up my Dad, so that I can sleep while he does it. At the same time, I want to go and see whoever in my family is home when I am there. But anyway, I figure that I can save gas by using Johns car instead of my Jeep. As I said, makes me nervous, but at the same time, it does give a bit of variety!

Learning Musical Instrument Playing
Playing music is all about practice, practice, practice. My hubby John told me that the reason he became a DJ years ago was because he didn't have the patience or ability to play a musical instrument. Maybe he was right, but at the same time, he didn't have the same opportunities that we have today.
Makemusic Inc is the company that has issued a software package called Finale®, and it is reputed to be the best music software known to exist for music notation.
SmartMusic® is another product of interest, as it allows the user to practice playing, using a system known as Intelligent Accompaniment®. And we all know, if we have tried singing Karaoke that the hard part is not having the full music to sing along with. No doubt it is the same when playing an instrument. So, it seems that if John was to try again, he might do a bit better, just by being able to play along with the programs, allowing him the practice he needs. Fortunately, his timing for music is good, and his pitch generally correct. So I have told him that he is nearly there, if he could just get up and do it instead of just talking about it! But, to get a better idea on what they have available, try going to their website finalemusic.com - could be the start of a new load of fun!

The Great Coffee Cup Rim Rolling In Canada
Just in case those of you who are outside Canada read this, I have to tell you of a competition we have here about twice a year. There is a country-wide franchised coffee and donut shop called Tim Hortons, and they have this deal where the paper cup for the take-out coffee has a message under the rim. John calls it a 'play again' cup, as all the cups he ever seems to get say "Thank you, please play again" but he still looks forward to winning one of the 35 Toyotas that they are currently offering as prizes, or some money, or just free coffee. That is an average of 3 cars per province and territory, I think. And, as of the other day, none had been won yet. So, we keep on buying the coffee, keep on rolling back the paper cups, in hope of "Rolling up the rim to win"

US Health Insurance Provider - Kaiser Permanente
US health insurance can be a major expense, but when dealing with a larger provider, the rates can go down to a reasonable level.
Kaiser Permanente Health Plans are available across the United States, and they have specialist departments to supply health insurance for California, and also for Georgia health insurance.
Interestingly, they do not focus on the insurance side alone, but are very aware of preventative measures such as diet and exercise. They can also quote for small or large groups such as employees, and this of course will result in more favorable premiums. Coverage is for doctor visits, maternity and prenatal care, hospital care, examinations such as vision, hearing, and physical. Coverage also includes prescription drugs, emergency services, and surgery. Quite a list, so I had to make two sentences of it! You can obtain a quote online, by entering your zip and the type of plan you are interested in, so that makes getting some idea of the cost very easy. And of course they have a secure page that allows you to actually apply right there online, or you can apply by regular mail or fax. If you have pre-existing health issues, you can supply a doctors letter of explanation, as this will speed your application processing time.

Just Came Back From Givng Sis a Driving Session.
As I was mentioning, my sister Wendy is starting to drive. She has already had a couple of lessons with Hubby, and now it was my turn, as she is very excited to get driving her own car. So, we went up a rural back road, and I found that she was quite good, but hasn't quite got the hang of the steering yet, and tends to swing wide. Anyway, I drove up along a quiet paved road, and she drove back home, as it was all right-hand turns! Coming along fine!

Real Wood Window Blinds - Time to Nag Hubby!
We have to get our windows fixed. For years now, I have put up with the windows that were in the house when we moved here about 8 years ago. Some still have the same cracked glass panes that were also here when we moved here eight years ago! Time to nag Hubby a bit. I can't complain really, as he did change two of the worst windows and they now have nice opening thermopanes in them.
Once I have the windows, I can get the window coverings. I don't like drapes. They pick up odors, need cleaning all the time, and are often chosen to suit the color of the room at the time of purchase, and that can change.
So, it is great to see a product that fits into what I need in a window covering. I have discovered real wood blinds and they are a great idea. Being wood, instead of plastic like regular Venetian blinds, they will not have the static electricity in them that attracts the dust, so I can be lazy about cleaning them! After all, summer is coming, time for the beach, not the housework! Justblinds.com have a 'quick quote' thing on their website that allows you to enter your window sizes, and get quotes for the cost of the wood blinds. I will be trying outfitting just one room to start with, but I don't expect any snags to arise, I have looked into website deeper, and they actually have printed instructions available onsite, and all looks OK to me. And if you just need some blinds to allow you to sell or rent out your property, they also have faux wood blinds, which are no doubt cheaper to buy.

My Sis is Learning to Drive
Well, my sis Wendy got her beginners license a few weeks ago, and now is starting to get used to driving hubby's car. I don't trust her with my Jeep yet, but Hubby will probably just whine a little if she damages his car, as he is going to sell it anyway, as he says it 'feels bad' to drive. I think he ought to wait until he has it running properly before deciding to sell it, as the body is quite good, rust free, and once he fixes it so the 'check engine' light goes out, that will likely also fix the way it pulls away and the power on the highway, as well.

Vehicle Customizing Accessories - Asanti Products
Wood Dash Experts specialize in more than wood dashboards, they have a great selection of other stuff as well. I think I mentioned a while back the Hubby has suggested that we do a major facelift on my 2001 Grand Cherokee Jeep, instead of buying a new vehicle, so that we can save a whole load of cash. Well, now I can get him started, as they have stuff for just about every make of vehicle at this website wooddashexperts.com including Asanti grills which really make a vehicle look like a top line model. As for me, I will start with some floor mats that have the logo on them. But the wheels and grille will come later, for sure! I have this site bookmarked in my favorites, as it will be my birthday soon!

Lower Cost Diet Pills
For those of us who want to lose some weight (and that is no doubt most of us!) there is a website that has some good prices on the best diet pills.
Pricesexposed.net lives up to it's name, as the prices are definitely lower than the competition. They boast "thorough analysis of the world's best diet pills" and it is true, there is more information than just offering good prices. For instance, right now they have an article titled "When is a Diet Pill Too Strong?" so as with all medication type products it is good to get proper information before ordering.

Credit Cards For Consumers With Bad Credit

Credit cards are an essential part of living these days. For example, if you have ever tried renting a car without a credit card you will have found it to be nearly impossible. The card gives the rental company the security they need.
It is easier to spend money than it is to repay it, we all know that, and most of us occasionally have periods when things get tight in our personal finances, and if left unattended, this can lead to what is known as "bad credit", even if it might have been caused by something as ordinary as mistakenly paying the same bill twice, leaving no money for another bill, and ending up with the check you might have written being denied.
So, it is good to know that there is a great commencement point to reversing the situation, and that is by getting a credit card that is specifically set up for those with bad or slow credit. The card is the same to look at as any other, but bad credit credit cards just have different conditions in the way in which the account has to be run. So it is great to be able to compare cards that may be offered before choosing a particular card as the start of your credit rebuilding, and to have the benefits offered by badcreditoffers.com , a website that allows comparisons not just on credit cards, but also other loans such as auto loans and mortgages. Badcreditoffers.com also has leads to debt assistance, and financial advice.

Well, I got away free for the weekend!
My weekend is free! I didn't get scheduled for compulsory weekend work, so that is great, now I have a chance to recover from the week, and get ready for the next one! Not too bad, actually, as I am free from Friday morning right through to Monday afternoon. It is about time I got time to do stuff.

Customer Surveys, Audits, and Mystery Shopping
28 February 2008
It is often difficult to know how well you are doing at things, because most people are too polite to tell you directly when you are doing less than should be done, especially when at a workplace, such as a retail store or publicly used service location. Supervisors are generally dealing with a workload too high to have spare time to monitor lower level employees sufficiently to be fully aware of their performance.
The answer can be as simple as using mystery shoppers, or by having customer surveys conducted.
Bestmark.com provide solutions for businesses by offering services that will allow you as a business owner or administrator to identify weaker areas, and conduct corrective actions to make your organization seamless in its operation methodology.
You can enable an enhanced customer shopping experience to maximize employee inputs and efficiencies, and as a result, create a more stable customer base that will by its nature, have growth. You have the choice to decide whether you wish to just think your business is running well, or to actually know it is running well.

Hubby's Computer Tip
When choosing a computer, try to decide what you use is going to be. We have 2 computers, this allows our son to have his 'own' computer, preventing bottlenecks. If a child's computer has internet access, set the security and content settings to high levels, and it is a good idea to never have internet access available to a computer that is in a child's bedroom or other separate room. Most children like to play games, so it might be better to have a good video card in the child's computer, as well as higher levels of RAM, the Random Access Memory that the computer uses when switched on for short term memory.

Wheelchair Vans - New and Used
Wheelchair accessibility is a big issue for public and private buildings these days, and increasingly we are seeing ramps provided. Mobilityworks.com are suppliers of both new and used
wheelchair vans that are tailored by them to the individual needs of the customer.
One of the greatest advances as far as vehicles go was the introduction of folding out ramps, allowing the scooter or wheelchair to drive right on up and in, giving greater independence, and freedom from frustration.
There is a useful search feature on the website, allowing you to search their inventory for the vehicle that is of interest. I was quite surprised by the coverage of the USA that their dealer network has, allowing viewing to be within a practical distance in most cases, wherever you live. They have vans that have lifts, which are maybe more convenient in tight spaces, such as city interiors. It is good to see a one-stop place for what to most vehicle dealers is a rare vehicle type.

Weekend Looms!
Not long now, as I wish my life away, at least while I am at work! I am hoping not to get assigned for weekend work, as this is done in a weird rotation that makes it compulsory, and even volunteering just puts off the compulsory assignment until the next weekend. So there is no way I can plan, for instance, to attend a wedding - if it happens to be compulsory time, then there is no way around it except sickness.

UK Personal Injury Compensation Assistance
Culture in the workplace has changed over the last few years. The methods of managing have changed into being more openly or brazenly profit driven and shareholder accountable, and so they are now having less consideration of the human aspects. Organisational budgets have been slashed time and again, and generally coupled with this the service to consumers has dropped substantially. Civil servants have increased their resistance to using commonsense due to being more constrained by rules. It comes as no surprise that there is now a tendency to refuse claims more, irrespective of whether the claims are against a private insurance company or a government service providing department, and certainly irrespective of claim validity. Personal injury can be even harder to deal with especially as the injury itself generally affects the ability levels of the victim.
So, it is a good idea these days to have someone who is prepared to go out there and work on your behalf. Such an organisation is Keypoint Legal Services, a division of the legal firm of Beresfords Solicitors LLP that has been set up in order to specialise in dealing with unfairly or unjustly rejected claims decisions, whether the injury was caused by accident, or industrial related disease such as asbestos illness, noise induced hearing loss, dermatitis, or any other industrial sickness that can be associated with a past environmental situation.
Accident Claims at Keypoint are dealt with on a "no-win-no-pay" basis. So if you are the victim of a workplace accident or disease, you deserve to get the compensation that you are entitled to, but so very often stalwart attempts are made to withhold it from you. Keypoint Legal Services have already been involved in securing £180 million in compensation for their clients. You can get started by speaking to one of their specialist advisors on the phone, because even if your claim is currently denied, that does not mean that you are not entitled to your rightful compensation.

Hubby's 'New' Car is Disappointing.
Hmmmm, hubby has been running his 'new' car for a few days now, after getting it through the annual inspection on Tuesday, and it absolutely DRINKS gas! Not only that, but it runs sluggishly, so he says if he can't get it running right fairly easily, he is going to sell it. We still have his 1966 Mercury, so he figures that he might as well drive that rather than a sluggish car. Anyway, we will see.

Chicago and Naperville Fertility Clinics
27 February 2008
One of the advantages of medicine, or more accurately the knowledge of medicine that we now have, is that we can relieve mental stress as well as save lives directly. One example of this that springs instantly to mind would be cosmetic surgery for accident victims, and another is the ability to increase chances of childbirth.
Dr. Randy S. Morris M.D. has a fertility clinic called IVF 1 that can help couples to first of all identify any issues, and then to take suitable action required to get around those same issues. The issues are often more common than we realize, due to the confidentiality of the subject. At the same time, the learning curve for knowledge regarding the details of fertility and the process of In Vitro Fertilization has been climbing for many years now. Dr. Morris himself has been established in this work since 1992 and so there is no need to get stressed out if problems are encountered, but instead it is advisable to seek his informative help, as it might be that some minor changes in lifestyle are all that is needed to achieve success. Dr. Morris is available at his fertility clinic Chicago and Naperville Illinois. Well worth looking around the website anyway, as there are some articles that are interesting just to read and gain knowledge.

As I Suspected, The Weatherman Was Wrong
Well, the snow that was supposed to be a dumping of about 6 inches or more never occurred. Instead, it gave about a half-inch, then some rain. I think that we are probably going to be free of all traces of ice or snow very soon. The Sun is getting warmer during the day, too. (It would have a hard job to get warmer during the night, wouldn't it?) So, it starts to really cheer me up. Just another couple of months and we will be into full-blown summer weather. I can't wait!

UK Children Are Borrowing Parents Retirement Funds
Www.magicloans.co.uk have a page that deals with financial news, and the lead story today when I looked was about how parents are giving loans to their children to an average of £12,610. Now, where do the parents get this money? Simple, they are spending their future retirement savings. There are no figures given on the amount that is never paid back, but in my opinion it is probably high. The statistical total for the whole of the UK would therefore come out at around £67 Billion. The problem with this of course is the social aspect of the retirement funds being depleted lower than the planned or expected amount, creating a need in some instances for further governmental financing of the upcoming retirement. Around 30% of these loans are said to be for property purchase, and just over 40% was for debt reduction - presumably we have to hope that the debt reduced is not just a responsibility shift from one debtor to another. Again, it might be interesting to have figures on how many of these 'children', having been baled out of trouble, go right back into it, as debt is generally more related to lifestyle spending habits than a one-time unfortunate decision. As a parent of adult children, my hubby says it is better for the children to be responsible for their own destiny, as Secured Loans are available for those with property, which could or would decrease that £67 Billion to around £40 - odd Billion or so, or in other words free up £20 - odd Billion nationally for reinstatement as pension funding for retirement by converting that personal debt into secured debt taken out with proper financial institutions.

Best Dance Crew
Do you guys watch America's Best Dance Crew? We have been watching this show for a few weeks now. I prefer this show than the American Idol. I have watched American idol's first 2 seasons, but after that, I am finding it a little boring now. I needed something new and exciting, and thanks to sis for introducing America's Best Dance Crew to us here. My son is a fan of the JabbaWockeeZ! I am not sure if it's true, but most of the comments I read on YouTube says most of the crew are Filipinos. If it's true, then Mabuhay Philippines!!!!

Here is the performance they did on last Sunday's challenge:

Business Coaching at ActionCOACH
Business Coaching is the way to get your business past the stagnation points that occur in the development of a business. After all, we can't all be experts in every business field. Generally, most business owners reach a point where they need to move forward in disciplines that they are not experts in, and are forced to just cease to expand, even on occasion allowing the competition to increase market share. Getting help from a business coach at ActionCOACH is a way to go. At actioncoach.com they have the means to allow you to check the health of your business by identifying weak areas. You can then make an informed decision on whether to go ahead with the coaching process, which will allow those with the expertize and networking backup to advise you on advantageous paths to take.

More Snow on the Way, but no prob.
More snow on the way, but at this time of the year, no problem, it will be gone almost as quickly as it came. The Sun has some warmth in it most days, and as it goes above freezing, the ice melts, the grounds shows through a darker color, and the earth warms up instead of reflecting the Sun. Sounds good to me. Now, maybe in a couple of months or so, we can get away camping, for a break.

So sweet
Everyday when I come home from work, my first stop is my tank. My living room's focal point so far is my fish tank. It's not really fancy-decorated, but with all the fish I got, I don't need expensive decorations. My two female guppys have been having babies since December. I probably have close to 40 little fishes around. I still have to separate them from the big fishes so hubby install a separator. Every time you go near near the tank, all of them, including the little ones will come here you because they know it's food time! It's really sweet!

Another day
25 February 2008
Well, I did a lot of driving on the weekend. Friday night was one of the most stressful drives of my life. Never thought that going out to pick up my parents from their apartment was gonna be one of the nightmares in driving. Well, we made it okey back home here after an almost two hours of driving from snow. The next day we headed to a friend's house which was another hour from our house. The snow was gone and it was nice. Then Sunday, drove back my parents to their apartment. Overall, it was really another busy weekend for me.

PR Issue
I was so shocked when my cousin Jennyr discovered that her blog's PR went down from PR4 to PR0. I was chatting with her at the time one morning when she checked her PR and was really disappointed when she found out about it. I am not sure what happened. Her blog is regularly updated, no banners or signs from any advertiser's sites or anything like that. She was really confident that her PR won't go down anymore. How does Google really rate a blog? Is my blog next to be rated to PR0?

Prudential Douglas Elliman New York Real Estate
24 February 2008
Prudential Real Estate are a really well respected and established name in real estate circles, as well as familiar to us all, right across the continent. In the New York area, Prudential Douglas Elliman Real Estate have over 350 communities served by their 60 offices, extending from Manhattan right through to Montauk. For instance, I looked at their North Fork real estate listings, and was impressed by the quality homes offered. The great thing about doing business with a larger agent is that you might even be able to tie up and sale and purchase using the same company, which has advantages in setting the time frames for everything. They also have a lot of interesting related information on their website www.prudentialelliman.com such as valuations, and relocation assistance. Reliability is a great thing to have in doing any business, and Prudential Douglas Elliman Real Estate have been established for nearly a hundred years!

Nevada Real Estate Licensing Makes Sense Now
We have all heard by now how the real estate markets have slowed up a bit, but what actually happens after a slowdown is a boom, so, it is a good idea, if you are in Nevada, to look into Las Vegas real estate appraisal courses, so that you are ready for the upcoming climbing markets, as well as in the meantime having the skills and licensing to do appraisals on property that is currently coming up for sale. Another often ignored advantage is that by doing this, you will be obtaining knowledge of available deals, so you can promote yourself later by offering sound advice when you see the upturn start to take hold.

Nice Award
I was given this award by a really good friend of mine, Jilyn. She send it to my other blog, but I decided to post it here. I think I was given this before, but I couldn't remember posting this, so to those who have given me this particular and have forgotten to thank you, this is all for you. I am giving this to all my friends here!

Howard Miller Clocks

Howard Miller clocks have a good name for quality, and at www.1-800-4clocks.com they have a great selection of all types. I asked hubby which he would prefer, and he said that seeing as he was older now, then any clock I choose ought to have a white face, and black numbers, so he can see it easily! I suggested a Howard Miller Grandfather Clock but he said that although they are great looking, he prefers somethings more 'straightforward', whatever that means. I got him to take a look at their website, and choose a clock, as we just had an old wall clock that stopped working, and that he always said that he hated, as it had like chrome numbers on a black background, and he could never see what the time was except if the light was on. Anyway, I only just got back to writing this, as he ended up hogging the computer for quite a while, as he went to the 1-800-4clocks.com blog site at www.clocksblog.com and had a look at what they were saying there. Anyway, in the end back at the website he chose the Howard Miller Accuwave Wall II Wall Clock as his fave, and they have it for under 50 bucks, which is a real steal when compared to other poorer quality clocks like we just had break down on us. So, I guess he will get his own way again!

Who wear the pants?
23 February 2008
Just for fun, I took this test to see who wears the pants between me and hubby, although I already knew the answer, I thought it would be fun doing the test and of course, so I can get the code so I can post it here and for hubby to see it!!!lol...I think he would definitely agree with this results too!

You Wear the Pants

You definitely wear the pants in your relationship, and your guy doesn't seem to mind.

Your guy seems to worship you, and you could get away with murder... if you wanted.

Enjoy your princess status, but don't exploit it too much.

Even if your guy doesn't require compromise, it would be nice if you let him get his way more often.

Changing the look..

In the spring, I am really thinking of doing a major make-over of my windows. We were discussing of selling this house to move to the city, but whether we do or not at all, it would be better to make a little change around here.Window Blinds make a lot of sense, they are more substantial than drapes, and can give a room a whole different more 'solid' look. I personally favor vertical blinds, as they always tend to look fresher, as the dust cannot settle as easily onto them. But whatever your own taste, you can find a good selection at selectblinds.com

So stressed
It was one of the frightening driving I have ever done. I went and picked up my parents from the apartment last night to spend the weekend here. It was so nice and clear when I took off, and arrived there with the same condition for that matter. But as soon as we left the apartment on the way back, the street was just covered with snow! I was unaware that there's going to be snowfall last night. But anyways, I just went ahead, went on the freeway and found myself trapped in this ever snow-covered highway. The worst thing was, I was able and can handle myself doing 90 km/hr, it's the annoying big trucks that overtake me that's makes me worried especially that I can't see any markings on the road. I am not sure if I was still on my lane or had hugged the middle one.

Save on phone cards
22 February 2008

Remember when phone cards first came out? They were like a credit card, plastic, and expensive. But, as communication has developed, the prices have become lower, and the ease of use is now better, so that you no longer need a thick plastic card, you just need the PIN number. Now, imagine having a choice of over 850 different cards! You can now do this by going to Pinshark.com, where they have masses of international calling cards of differing prices and loadings. Some are unlimited, but all are good value, and have to be, as you can do a search right there online to see how cards compare for the location you intend calling. And the even better news is that to obtain the PIN, you don't even have to wait for a call-center to answer, as the number can be supplied online in just a few minutes. The savings by using a www.pinshark.com card are so great that it really makes having a long distance plan on your phone an obsolete thing to do. If you look at your bill, you will probably find that the more expensive calls are to a single number, or maybe a few numbers that are all in the same global location, making a Pinshark card a good deal all-around. So, here is an opportunity to end the monthly commitment of a long distance bill, plus you can prevent other people from running up your bill, because with the card system, there is no longer any need for a long distance bill.

Ohio Power Tool 25th Anniversary
Ohio Power Tool of Columbus Ohio, was established in 1983, and provide power tool sales and service as well as rental. They are factory authorized service and sales center for various reputable power tool manufacturers. Right now, they are offering great deals on Milwaukee Portable Generators and note that these offers are not on wimpy little generators that will only just light a light bulb, they are on generators with enough power to run your house, including an oil furnace, in case of a power outage, which, after all, is what a lot of people need in a generator. At the same time, the smaller models on offer are still somewhat more easily portable for taking to a camp back in the woods, or across a lake or wherever.
Ohio Power Tool also carry a large inventory of parts, and you can make online inquiries about whatever you need, or give them a phone call. Once I started browsing around the website, I found that they have just about every small tool that you can think of listed. This really is a full service online shopping location as far as tools are concerned, and they accept all the usual payment methods, including Paypal. For more information, you can also visit their own blog that has up to date news about everything that is going on at Ohio Power Tool.

Our date
This is a little late, just thought I'd mention this anyways. We went out Saturday. It was a perfect day to go out. Sky's cloudless, a lot of stars but it was a little cold. Still, we manage to go out with my hubby and son that night. My son paid for our ticket to see the movie, 'Jumper'. He had a $25 gift certificate from the movie theater here and he decided to treat us for Valentine's Day. He was so proud he was able to treat us. He actually won the certificate at school. So it was a successful outing.

If you ask me...
In terms of gifts for women and if you would ask me, first thing that pops out into my mind would jewelry. How could you go wrong with jewelries? I don't know about other people, but I love to receive a heart-felt gift from a guy especially if it's jewelry. I am not really into big and fancy ones though. Small and elegant enough is my style. Same with this clip on earrings which is not really that big but nice enough to wear on special occasions.

Small and Mid-Sized Business Trend
21 February 2008
Web Conferencing has been around for a while now, and like most new applications, it has developed together with general computer speed increases. Part of the trend has been driven by cost-savings, and this will no doubt continue as airfares go even higher, making face-to-face meetings an expensive proposition, even for larger companies.
Other factors have been at play also, such as the increase in home webcam usage, as well as gaming-driven development of advanced video hardware and software. The future is definitely looking like more web conferencing is in the futures of such disciplines as sales and product training, as well as for more generally accepted formal meetings.
Part of past limitation has been user comfort, and this will become cured by the passing of time. Speaking of limitations, the growing Web Conferencing trend has been possible because of the overcoming of a main limitation with voice only teleconferencing, and that is the relationship building that is possible only with a visual content.
WiredRed.com has e/pop web conferencing software that is advanced enough to be user friendly, while at the same time having the required features to allow use for internal meetings and the more day-to-day applications of web conferencing software in general.

Not feeling well
I am really tired today and have a headache. I slept for a couple hours after coming home from work because I am just worn out. I hope I will feel better tomorrow morning, otherwise I have to phone in sick. Anyways, here I am again, blogging, I am triply busy this week, I haven't had the time to visit everyone here! I am hoping I can get in track again this weekend coming. I still have to visit and add all those who wanted to exchange links with me and I still have to do all the lined up tags from friends.

United Kingdom Sales Training

Sales Training is more than being trained to sell, it is also about the product information. In the UK, one of the leading sales training programmes is the one available from AS-SA and there is good reasons for this. At AS-SA they have Sales Training that is tailored to sales growth, while at the same time sales figure maintenance is achieved. It is about not only increases quantities of sales opportunities, it is about selecting the focus of those opportunities so that bigger opportunities hit the forefront. They have the basic training , but then the follow-up support by mentoring, workshops, as well as the training itself having the right courses, with subjects that are vital to proper sales expansion, whether it be dealing with key accounts, or making cold calls as the start of a relationship development strategy. At the website www.as-sa.co.uk/ you can also view the profiles of the Course Leaders, who have the expertise to share with students.
What was really interesting on the website is the item called "Sales Guide" which present scenarios that we don't tend to think of. This is evidence that the training is exceptional - understanding the decision processes of both a company as a whole, as well as individuals, is a major part of the selling mentality, this of course saves sales resources to focus upon what the customer is specifically wishing to know.

More Free PC Advice From Hubby
Slow Running can be because of either unwanted activity, or wanted and required activity. If the activity is unwanted, it can be switched off. The problem is with knowing which activities are associated with good stuff that you need. Here is something you might want to look into. It is up to you to decide if you are comfortable with anything you do with a PC that has Windows XP, so I can't take responsibility for if it doesn't work out for you, because if that is the case, you have probably misunderstood the steps I am giving. So, get sure of your comfort before changing stuff.
To open up the System Configuration Utility window, click Start, Run, and type 'msconfig' in the text box, without the commas.
Then click OK
Then click the 'Services' tab. Then click in the little box that says 'hide all Microsoft services'
You will now have a list of items that are not part of the XP operating system, some will be obvious what they are, others not. And they will have a checkmark in the little box if they are active. For instance, we have a Lexmark printer, and I just looked and have a listing under the first column 'services' that is called 'LexBce Server' and under the 'manufacturer' column is 'Lexmark International' so I can assume that this is something to do with my printer.
There are other things listed there though, that have 'unknown' under the manufacturer column. Try Googling these to see what they are. If you end up with a load of Google results that are in technical forums, with entries like "How do I get rid of xxxxxx" then go to the forums, and see what people are saying in the discussions. If you decide it is something you do not want running all the time, uncheck the box of that item. Some of these items might be adware or spyware, in which case you might be able to just leave them in your PC, but not have them ever running.
You can then click on the 'Startup' tab and you will have a similar listing, this time it is of items that are going to start up when you restart the PC. Try Googling the names, to see what they are. Some makers of legitimate programs set it up so they have stuff running all the time, so that when you want to use their program, it loads faster. That is because it has already half loaded stuff that runs all the time, and uses PC resources to do so. For instance under my startup tab I have a listing called msmsgs and under the 'command' column, I can see that this is Microsoft Messenger, which we do not happen to use. So I have unchecked it so that it will not run in the background. Just be aware that some items are needed for Windows XP to work, so don't shut things off without knowing what they are - Google is your friend for this. Once you have the stuff shut off that you want shut off, click 'apply', then 'OK', and restart your PC. The first time you do this you will have a window pop up saying that you have changed the System Configuration, and this window has a box you can check to stop the warning window popping up every time you restart. If you later have a problem with, say, a program not working when clicked on, bear in mind you might have switched something off that it relies on to work. Then you will have to reverse anything you did here. I hope that this is of use.

Lifelock Identity Theft Security - Promotional Offer
20 February 2008
When my Hubby was working in a call center, answering calls and questions from US residents, he quite often had the caller mention that they had been the victim of identity theft. This is not an easy situation for a person to be in - it is more than just being like losing a wallet, it is an act where the victims whole life is taken over. Once discovered, the situation is not easily remedied, either, and apparently with most victims, that is the hardest part of all, as the situation carries on seemingly forever, and whatever is done to try to fix it often results in the victim being put through a disbelief system, and so it can take years of uncertainty and feelings of insecurity before it is fixed. Now there is Lifelock. I have seen the advertising on TV where the guy has his real Social Security Number painted on the side of a truck. That guy is Todd Davis, and he is the CEO of Lifelock. How the system works is that Lifelock locks down your credit so that only you can manage transactions, because transactions have to be doublechecked instead of just going blindly ahead.
Right now, there is a special offer going where you can get 30 days free, plus a further 17.5% annual discount, and this is available by using a LifeLock.com Promotion Code that is available on a special promotional website. The LifeLock Promo Code is a good way to get the ball rolling, and prevent the ID theft happening in the future, by securing your ID right now. Without Lifelock, you are leaving your financial status exposed for unauthorized use by others, but by getting into the Lifelock system now, this possibility can be brought to a screaming halt, so, it is a good idea to get into the program while the LifeLock Promotion Codes are still available.

Some Free PC Computer Advice From Hubby
If you are running Windows XP or Vista, it is a good idea to always ensure that you have a current antivirus program monitoring your PC while it is switched on. That is, the antivirua program will be receiving regular updates (sometimes called a signature) to its file listings of virus names. Added to that, it is a good idea to do an online virus scan from time to time, and particularly when there has been anything unusual happening, like the PC being busy with nothing apparently being done while online, or a general slowing down. These online scans can be run without disturbing the installed antivirus program, and operate by downloading a small program that does the scanning independently of your installed antivirus software. Mcafee and Trendmicro Housecall are both websites where these scans can be run. If these find viruses or other advertising junk adware or similar, after removing the threats, run the scan again, as sometimes other bad stuff will be hidden underneath, and will be apparent only on the second run.

Associated Training Services Heavy Equipment Schools
Natural resources are an expanding need in order to keep up with manufacturing expansion. Many of these natural resources have to be dug up out of the ground. We have all seen heavy equipment - it is the name given to vehicles or machines such as bulldozers and excavators, loaders and off-road haul trucks. They are all used for digging up and moving raw materials from the ground, and also they are commonly used for building roads, dams, and other major civil engineering projects.

So, it is good to know that the training required to operate these machines is available right across America, from California to New Hampshire, at 8 or 9 locations in all, giving comfortable access from just about everywhere in the USA.

Associated Training Services Schools are accredited by the National Center for Construction Education & Research (NCCER), in Gainesville, Florida. This means that anyone trained there has National Certification, which give prospective employers a guarantee that the standards are met or exceeded, which in turn saves future issues occurring.
Because of the quality of the training, funding from state agencies is available to students, as ATS is certified under the Workforce Investment Act in most states. So, these Heavy Equipment Training Accreditations are the key to making the training a good investment for the future for both the employee, as well as the employer.

Another Busy Day Done
Another day at work has come to an end. I am looking forward to the time when I can retire the same as hubby has, then I can do nothing, just like him! Actually, he says it would drive him crazy if I didn't work, because when I don't work, I move furniture as I clean the house all the time. But, at some point, I would like a lower paced job than the high pressure one I have now.

Car Detailing and Other Cleaning
I have to get my Hubby to look over this website at www.lanescarproducts.com because he is always looking at car stuff. I have threatened to trade in my Jeep, but he says that if I do, I will just end up with another ordinary vehicle, and that it will be a better deal to spend some money on upgrading some aspects of my 2001 vehicle. For instance, they have some stuff that will take away the yellowed effect that plastic headlight glass has after a few years - mine is just starting to show this. They have stuff for cleaning tires, too, I know that it sounds like overkill, but it looks really great and the whole vehicle looks cleaner when the tire are clean. There is also a video showing car wax being applied. Above all, they have videos showing detailing being done. Sounds easy to clean a vehicle, but with these tips, the results look a lot better.

Over The Hump!
Well, the week is halfway over, just two days to go, then we can have another weekend for relaxing, and visiting friends. One friend we have has a birthday, so we will try to get to the party. If the price of gas doesn't jump up too high, of course! Seriously though, we should be OK for a while, anyway. Also, Hubby is in the process of getting his car back on the road - his son swapped with him, so the son's old car needed some stuff done to it - hard to get stuff done when it is either cold, or raining. But if I nag him enough, he should maybe do as he is told!

U.K. Mortgages - Compare Your Options
United Kingdom residents should be interested to hear about a website that assists with locating mortgages.
It is actually more than just a mortgage search site, as it has tabs and a sidebar that offer a goldmine of information about mortgages, from the types of mortgage deals available, to help for first time buyers, loans, and even gas and electricity comparisons.
UK mortgages have developed in recent years, allowing for more scope in choices, and this website gives you the full advantage of that. They have, of course, a Mortgage Comparison Centre that assists you with the shopping around for mortgage quotes, allowing for you to have all the advantages that wider knowledge will gain for you, whether it be a house, flat, maisonette or other property that you have set your heart on.

I Just Woke Up!
I just woke up, and the snow is here again, so that looks more normal. I started the Jeep, and hopefully the heater will have it all cleared off by the time I am ready to leave. Saves a lot of brushing, but only when there is just a little dusting of snow, it doesn't work when there is snow built up all over the place. Hmmm, I just looked out to check, and it has cleared OK, but the snow is falling quite heavily. Ah, well, at least the forecast for the temperature is not too bad!

Low Cost Web Hosting For Small Businesses
Concentric Business Solutions are a good thing for small businesses. Let's face it, when you have a small business, and you want a website, you probably need more than just the server hosting, that is, that actual computer space for the site. At Concentric, they specialize in shared web hosting that allows fuller use of their space so that, like any business dealing in a bulk product situation, they can offer that space for just a few dollars a year to each subscriber. Not only that but they have a support system that goes with it, such as domain name searching, as well as free stuff like spam filtering for the email side of it, and virus protection. It makes sense.

So, Gas is Going Up Again, No Doubt
Oil has now hit $100 a barrel, and Hubby says that the oil companies will now use that for an excuse to really soak the public at the gas pumps. It was about 95 bucks, so the increase should only mean a 5% increase, but right now, it is at $1.11 a litre, and he says that this week, if not next, it will increase by at least 10%. This will allow another rip off, as the provincial tax here is calculated AFTER the tax has been added by the Federal Government. So, we are paying tax on the tax! Time to start running a smaller vehicle for most trips, I think.

Telescopes and Binoculars and More
19 February 2008
My Hubby told me the other day that when he was a kid, he used to collect aircraft numbers, and that he knew a guy who had an old naval brass telescope so powerful, it could allow him to get the registration letters from jets that were making vapor trails high in the sky. Well, if you want to do that these days, you don't need to look for old brass telescopes, you can just go to Anacortes Telescope & Wild Bird website, where you will find not only telescopes such as those by Celestron, but also Meade binoculars as well as other makes such as Bushnell. They have some neat stuff that I was just looking at on the website, like things that allow photos to be taken of the sky at night, and move the camera to track the stars and things as they move acrosss the sky. They also have stuff for bird watching including clothing, and night vision scopes as well as binoculars that have a digital stabilizer system, just like my digital camera, so that the image is steady even if you are moving around. Altogether quite interesting.

I Am Beat Today!
Well, I get home from work, and just want to sleep. Hubby has hogged the phone for over an hour, talking about stuff that isn't important, and I want to get on there and talk about stuff that IS important! To me anyway. Why is it that guys always say that women yak a lot, but then they, the guys, hog the phone, yakking? Anyway, I have given him the "I am annoyed that you are on the phone" look, so he shouldn't be too long now!

Presentationmart.com for Projectors and More
Now here's an interesting website - Presentationmart.com are specialists in presentations! We have all no doubt had presentations made to us while at work, such as employee meetings, safety meetings, production meetings, and generally, the presentation is fed to us from a laptop via a projector of some kind.
If you are needing to travel to do sales or other presentations, the portable projectors currently available generally weigh about 10 pounds or so. Presentationmart offer advice on choice, bringing into account such things as room brightness, audience size, and similar considerations. They also have parts available, such as projector bulbs and screens. These days, projectors are quite reasonable in price, and well worth consideration by church groups and clubs. There are situations where the costs could be recouped fairly quickly, too. It is worth a look at the website to get more information.

Hubby Takes Over This Blog For a Day!
This is a hijack! The Missus left this page logged on, and I am taking over, so that we can get it up to my high standards, not just the stuff that she mentions all the time. Yes, the page ranking will soar, as I type so fast that the keyboard smokes! Actually, the truth is that she is off to work, after all, someone has to do that, and I am too lazy. So she asked me to keep everyone who is a fan of hers entertained, actually, those were not her exact words, I think it was more like 'You can have a go at some REAL blogging, if you wish, just don't do stuff that might put my page down as low as yours is'.
Love,
John

Twominutegolfpro.com To Improve Your Swing
Twominutegolfpro.com might sound a bit like 2 minute brain surgeon dot com, but it isn't really like that! The website is dedicated to the golf game, and in particular, online golf lessons
and tips. They have resident golf pros there, Don Trahan and Greg MacDonald, who can both lend their expertise to your golf experience. And this isn't just about score improvement, this is about decreasing body stress while playing - no point in feeling worse after a round, rather than better. There are training videos, and also forums where you can network with other players to get advice, or even just a few ideas that at the very least will enable you to eliminate bad moves that you might be making. Well worth a look at now the summer season is just around the corner.

Is It a Heatwave Here?
Almost a heatwave for this time of year. I took my sister for a visit to my parents place last evening, and the weather was about +15 celcius, with high winds, and torrential rain. I don't like driving in that - you can't see the white lines on the road, and the oncoming headlights are blinding, as a lot of drivers here in Nova Scotia choose high beam, and the cops do nothing to stop it. Anyway, main thing is, I got home without hitting anything or getting hit.

NextGen Medical Record Software by Virmedice
18 February 2008
It always amazes me these days when I see businesses using written records for their filing systems. You look at the office wall, and there is a big 'folder city' there, instead of maybe some landscape pictures or whatever. Also, I cannot imagine why they would want to have that level of work load in keeping things up to date, as well as making the backup hard copies in case of fire or theft, or vandalism, whatever. Or maybe they don't have those backups! Hmmm, scary!
I was in my dentists office the other day, a fairly newish business, say, about 15 years established, and they still use the old folder method. I will have to enlighten them! There is now software that can eliminate all those folders, as well as making backing up easy, and it is called NextGen, and can both keep records, as well as deal with management of a medical practice.
Virmedice.com are the leading NextGen resellers and are well established, so therefore can give some extra service to their customers by offering two models of the NextGen Software.

My Hubby is Really Annoying!
My Hubby is really annoying! He stays at home all day, but still leaves all kinds of things for me to do, even after I have done my days work. I have threatened him with violence, divorce, even the Silent Treatment, but he just laughs at me, and says the stuff I wanted doing wasn't even important to him! If it wasn't for his help when I am writing, to proof read my stuff, he would have to go! On the other hand, nah! - I will hang on to him just a while longer, I might find a good use for him someday.

Cadence Software for Warehouse Management
If I use the word 'warehouse' you probably imagine a large shed full of stuff being moved around by forklift trucks, and people walking around with clipboards. Well, the clipboards may be obsolete, as a company called Cadre Technologies have a software system named Cadence that actually extends beyond your imagination, as it will allow control of the functions of the warehouse as a whole, by making the processes have the status of one function, including in many cases the interfacing of data with your clients/customers systems.
This means, in short, that the software extends from the Internet where it can accept orders, to goods locating, and shipping out. They call this type of software logistics software
and it has the effect not only of being more efficient and therefore faster, but of using the digital information within the system to be constant, minimizing transferring of data from clipboard to computer, then back to work order sheets, and so on. The result is a more reliable outcome that is consistent withe the original input requirements.

More and More Weird Weather
So, today it was plus 7 celcius, and raining cats and dogs, just like a monsoon. The snow once again washes away, and we are down to bare, wet , slippery shiny ice! It actually got a bit dangerous today, as if conditions are like this, and you try to go uphill on it, if you don't make it first time, even jamming on the brakes to lock the wheels will not stop the vehicle rolling (actually sliding with no turning wheels!) downhill. So, all you can do is hang on, and hope that no-one gets in your way! The good news is that if there is much more of this, all the underlay of ice sheets will be melted, and then we can start with the tires touching the road again!

An idea
17 February 2008
My parents have been very unfortunately to not be able to go away on vacations all their life. We are a big family. A family of 7 will pretty much eat up all your resources, so going on vacation is not an option for them. Now that I was able to get them here from the PI, they now have the advantage of going on vacations and enjoying themselves. Not only that, all of us kids now have jobs that we can give some kind of travel gift certificates to them just as a "thank you" for all the hard work they did while they send us to school and making sure that our future is good and that we won't experience the hardship they did. I think it's a pretty brilliant idea.
