Great Deals on High Definition TV's
31 January 2008
High Definition TV is the way to go. We are going to be looking for one soon, as hubby had insisted on waiting until we could be sure that the programming was well in place before we bought the TV that can give the HD experience. A good place to shop for HD TV's is www.secondact.com, in fact they have a 'deal-of-the-day' that seems to give some great offers, and users can sign up to receive it via email or RSS.

I just saw this 42" HDTV for just under $700 - now try beating that! And for just a few bucks, really, they can set it all up for you in the room and position of your choice, they call this the White Glove Delivery. So, for under a grand, you could be watching American Idol in style next week. And it is worth bookmarking that as a favorite, because a new deal is presented very morning at 7am CST. Second Act have been established since 2003, so quite a good while for an online retailer, and they are committed to customer service. So, the deals are good, the deal of the day is even better, and they do this by having good name brand products that are end of lines, or opened packaging, overstocks etc, some of which are sold as 'refurbished', which hubby says is generally brand new stuff that they have had to doublecheck before sale, which ties in with the opened box idea, even though I generally try to ignore what hubby says! Finally, the icing on the cake is that they accept PayPal, so you can just transfer some of your earnings right to them that way, and get the ball rolling on the HD TV lifestyle!

Another cause of intoxication
I just read on the newspaper that two little girls were froze to death after being outside for so long because their father were intoxicated. I can't imagine how those little kids must have felt when they were outside in the cold. I have heard these kind of news before, but this time I really felt so sad. They could have been mine. This just to show that drinking until you pass out will not give you any benefit!

Fine Items
30 January 2008
I always love to wear jewelry ever since I can remember. My hubby would always surprise me with a necklace or something whenever I don't expect it. I really love it. Whenever there is an occasion, you could never go wrong with giving a jewelry, at least for me anyways.

Have you ever seen how much quality watches and jewelry is worth? I don't mean just ordinary stuff, I mean the top of the line quality such as Rolex watches, including the famous Oyster model, as well as other big name watches? My hubby John can remember when you could pick up a used rolex for about 10% of what they are currently going for, and he says it wasn't that long ago. These items make a solid investment that is almost completely proof against stock market fluctuations. And the great thing is, you can use it while it appreciates. At grayandsons.com they also specialize in estate jewelry, and this includes a girls best friend, diamond jewelry, yes, they sell diamond jewelry, and allow you to sell diamond jewelry to them. This might be a good hedge to counteract the recent stock market drops, as the value is artistic as well as investment, giving greater security for the future worth.

Weird weather pattern
Global warming might really be taking hold - right now it should be about minus ten degrees, and instead it is about 5 degrees above freezing, and raining. It seems that the weather systems, that rotate around as they move across the surface of the globe, are positioned lower than they were a few years ago. So they are picking up warm air from the USA, and bringing it to us, instead of bringing in cold air from the North Pole area. So, it is good for now, anyway, and the heating oil bill is nice and low this winter!

Get the proper training
Heavy Equipment is the name given to construction machinery such as bulldozers, backhoes, and front-end loaders. It is used in all construction projects, but particularly for road building as well of course in resource industries such as quarrying. The operators of this machinery have a big responsibility, the equipment is expensive, and the damage it can do if mistakes are made is also of high cost. Now you can learn to operate heavy equipment with good training that covers all aspects of what is needed to be an attractive proposition for employers. ATS Equipment School offers a full service to trainees, including job placement assistance - remember each campus has its own Assistance Director who has previous contact with local employers. The website has a map giving the campus locations. Overall, the certification gained can be a good path to earning that are substantially above average. Well worth a trip to the website equipment-school.com !

My hubby is annoying!
My husband is really annoying at times. He keeps on making jokes all the time, instead of being serious about life. At the same time, he does make me laugh a lot, which must be good, as I once saw a documentary that said that the human body releases certain good chemicals when laughing takes place. So, I must have a whole load of those chemicals flowing around my body! It kind of makes life good, as there is less stress at home, and we never experience the complaints that other people make about life, but at the same time, my husband is really annoying!bwahahaha!

Car Loans and Financing in UK - A Better Way!
29 January 2008
Using the advantages that motorcarloans.com gives is like having your own personal shopper to assist you in buying a car in the UK. This is because you have the same salesman to stay with you through the thick and thin of getting the car finance arranged. At this website they have car loans to suit all your needs, whether it be to encompass bad or slow credit, or to nail down the lowest interest rate, they can help you.
There is also an online search feature that allows you to simply plug in your postal code and price parameters, as well as the make and model you wish to search for, and you can search the complete extensive and current database, and even better, by simply omitting the postal code, you get to search the whole of UK! Ideal for those harder to find used models. You have control over which dealer you buy from, the loan itself is not connected, this can save money by preventing the dealer pointing you towards a financing source that might well be best for him, not for you! Car insurance too, is covered here, again, searchable for the best deal tailored for your needs. Worth checking out before you execute your plan to buy the car of you want! take a look and cruise around the website at motorcarloans.com

Two in a row!
Boy, they cancelled the school again today! that's two days in a row. It was quite warm actually today but because of the temperature being that low last night, water on the ground just froze! Of course, as expected, my son was happy upon hearing the 'good news' this morning. I was hoping that there was no work too, but I think it's just a wishful thinking!

Know it first!
28 January 2008
Before playing any game, it is best to know the rules, as well as how to actually conduct the play, and this is especially true when playing a game in a casino. Online casinos are becoming more popular as a pastime, and so it is good to see that there is a website that will allow you to get some information about your casino before you go ahead with the playing. X-casinos.com is a blog that has loads of different casinos mentioned, as well as game instructions, and general news about online gambling. The impartial reviews and comments are especially useful to get some idea of what can be expected when you play at the various online casinos, and the tips for how to play are invaluable, especially for those who are new to online casino gaming.

Improving your golf
My Boss at work plays a lot of golf. Not right now in winter, of course, but in the summertime. He is from Georgia, so he is used to longer summers than we have here in Nova Scotia. Anyway, he is always making references to getting back to the game, so now I have the answer for him right now, and that is to improve his game by gaining knowledge. I have found a website where they have free golf tips as well as videos on the various higher tech ways to improve the golf game, by both increasing the repeatability of the swing, or by improving the swing itself. The website has a useful golf forum, to allow golfers to discuss aspects of the game, but the main resource is the videos that are online golf instructions and also lessons, and all for just a few bucks a month, as they say. "Less than a bucket of golf balls".

Again!
There was no school again today. We woke up with freezing rain this morning, I knew then that the school will be canceled. I turned the radio on and sure enough, they announced it. Arvin was happy of course. Another long weekend for him. I haven't been out yet but we will be this afternoon. I am going to get my son a haircut and just to have a break from inside the house again. I will have hubby with me though, so it should be alright to go out.

My son was on this before
.....introduction to martial arts, that is! He was very eager to go and be in this sports before. I enrolled him here just to see if he will like it. After a couple of years, he did enter into a competition and won 2 medals from it. Now he lost interest on it as time went by.

There might be a tendency to think of martial arts enthusiasts as being sport fans who enjoy things like boxing and wrestling. The truth is that it goes beyond that. The main issue here has to be self defense, yet the public impression is of it being for athletes only, which is not the case. At closecombattraining.com there are testimonials to prove the effectiveness of this Close Combat Training method as a means of self defence. Chris Pizzo, a World Leader In Self Defense who gives this training, has bypassed the usual steps that exist in the martial arts world - normally, you would have to get the initial training, then go through competitions, and only THEN get the self defense training part that you are interested in. Find out The Truth About Martial Arts. The system works by giving you the required information on DVD's that are guaranteed, in fact you can get started for only $2.95, With what Chris calls his test drive offer for you to experience first hand Captain Chris' Close Combat.

Looking for a "warmer" place?
I have always been fascinated to live down south, especially California. I have some relatives there and wish to visit them someday. Yesterday was -27 deg Celsius here and looking at some photos of California, I can't help but get the thinking of moving there.California is a great place to live, not having winters like we have here in Nova Scotia. The lifestyle is a year-around one, with the Pacific Ocean playing a large part of life for many people there.

Whether you are looking for a California real estate to buy, or just a rental, the place to look is www.nationalrelocation.com where you will find real estate agent to look at many aspects of moving your home, whatever the State or region of choice. They have a mortgage calculator available right there on the webpage, and have listings for movers, and everything that you will need that is related to relocation. There are also search features available there, for such things as foreclosures, as well as home inspectors, and real estate insurance.

"See" Food

I went to my folk's place this weekend. While hanging out there, my mom was in the mood for crabs and so my bro and sis and I jumped in my car and headed out to Fisherman's Market to pick up some crabs. The price wasn't too bad, $3.99 a pound, we had about 9 crabs for 20 bucks! Sometimes though, they could go down as low as $ .99 a pound :)

Everybody loves weekend, it is the time for leisure, recreation and other religious activities. And when everyone is having a grand time, you want to capture it and share it with others. That’s why Weekend Snapshot is here for you. Come and join us HERE !

"The richer you are, the richer you get"
27 January 2008
Have you ever heard the saying "The richer you are, the richer you get"? I believe this to be true, and there is a basic reason for this. Once you have reached a certain level of wealth, it becomes prudent to have others, such as Northern Trust, who have focussed expertize, to handle your assets. This can be done in whatever manner is suitable for your situation, whether it be a Trust, Donor advised fund, Private Foundation, or any one of other philanthropic services that are available at Northern Trust. They are a premier banking and asset handling provider to institutions as well as affluent families worldwide, and are able to encompass tax management as well as planning and implementation, all to the best effect for the donor as well as the recipient.

Quebec Vacation Experience by Hubby
I will let my hubby tell you about this, as he lived in Quebec for a couple of years. Not bad, for an Englishman!
Quebec is a really great place to visit, or to live. It has winter sports as well as great fishing, and other lake activities such as canoe-ing in summer, when it gets really hot there. Blueberry Lake is a great place to visit, just a nice trip from Montreal, up in one of the 'ski-hill' areas of Quebec province, Canada, near where I lived for a while, in the Laurentian Mountains. There is a French-Canadian culture in Quebec, with really good food and wines, and a more European feel about it all, and this resort excels in taking that to the "Nth Degree".
Blueberry Lake itself is north of the resort area of Mont Tremblant, Montreal being the nearest major city. The accommodation is in Log Chalets, but with services equal or better than better class hotels. By the way, English is spoken to some degree throughout Quebec, so you do not need to know any French, but can still enjoy the French culture. You should start by checking out the website http://www.blueberrylake.com because it can give details I do not have room for. And with that, I can hand you back to "The Missus" (Upper case intentional!)

Boy's "toys"
My son Arvin has always been into playing with toy guns. Now he keeps wanting an air gun, but isn't old enough yet. But my hubby John is thinking of getting an air gun as well - he had one when he was a kid, and now he is a kid all over again! Www.airgundepot.com has some good deals, and have a good selection of lower powered guns, in various guises, whether regular air guns, BB guns, or paint ball guns. I am thinking that an Airsoft (plastic pellet) or BB gun would be quite enough for our house, and John agrees. When you visit the website, you can also take a look at the replica guns they have there. These are really cool, and generally fire blank cartridges, so they are ideal as starting pistols for those summer sporting events. They can ship right to you, even free on orders over $199. Might be a good idea for a really unexpected surprise for the guy in your life, but don't forget the eye goggles, they sell those as well!

It's so cold!
We went out today to the mall just to get out of here for a couple of hours or so. And boy was it ever cold!. It was -19 deg Celsius according to my car! It's typical this time of the year, but I feel bad for those people who have no car and will wait for the bus. I guess, my family in the city is used to it by now, because I hear no complaints:) hehehe..My mom has to wait for maybe 10-15mins from before her bus comes and the same with my brother.

How bad?
I have known a lot of people who are in trouble with their finances. Getting yourself painted into a corner is very easy nowadays, especially when living in an unstable situation. Living in the western world is expensive, although the rewards are high. So, it happens that if you have bad credit, you are not alone by any means. So, it is good to have credit options that are available to those who have less than perfect credit.

Finding those options has now become easier, after all, why wait through paperwork with futile applications, when by visiting a badcreditoffers.com, you can already have eliminated the more rigidly ruled credit companies. Whether it be for a credit card, home or auto loan, or just a personal loan, this website can help at the click of a link. They even have links for repairing credit, and to obtain your own credit score.

Ultimate Dream
Time will tell if I will ever set foot in Europe. There are a lot of places I want to go and visit. Places that I've seen on TVs and movies. I know that if only I will really focus on it, I will be able to have the chance to go there. Hubby and I have been discussing about it, and perhaps one of these days it will come true.

I have been on the net for quite sometimes and I was able to checked for cheap hotels in Iceland. If you are planning to go to Europe and perhaps looking for cheap hotels in Denmark, then check out cheaperthanhotels.co.uk . You will also find cheap hotels in Copenhagen in Denmark. They have tons of special deals on hotels on places you might want to visit and see. They are the best place to buy your discounted and cheap hotels in Reykjavik.

A Bed made for me!
Next time I am going to buy a new bed, I will be getting a platform bed. I think they are better than my traditional bed here. These platform beds look so modern and sophisticated! They don't look clutter which is what I am looking for. What I like about them too is you can easily clean underneath them! They are simple yet sturdy. They are also perfect fit for a loft, a kid's room, or your guest room.

Do you own one?

I don't know about most of you guys, but I want to own a corset! With my bulging belly, I think I really need one:) Corsets make your body look slim. They will project a curvy figure by reducing the waist and they will give the impression of bigger bust and hips. Now, that's what I need! he he he. I have seen these sexy corsets worn by ladies in films but I think they are "in" again especially if you want to wear tighter clothings. Well, I have to re-think what I want for valentine's, a corset might replace my number one on the list!

Selecting Movers
25 January 2008
I always dread the actual act of moving house. There are all the things really needed, plus a load of junk that Hubby insists on keeping, when it really should be thrown away. I am thinking that when we pack up the stuff to move, when that time comes, it might be better to just get a mover to do it, rather than have the hassle of lifting all that heavy stuff out of the house, and then back into another one. There are a lot of reputable movers out there and you want to select the best one. And if you're in NY, check out, New York movers and avoid the stress of doing it yourself.

I wonder why men are never satisfied with their toys?
My Hubby is always talking about boats, and airplanes, and cars of course, yet he is satisfied driving an old junker. I suppose it is a 'guy thing' to dream about this kind of stuff. Us wives are thinking about a better kitchen, or bigger house altogether, and the husbands are seeing themselves at the wheel of a Ferrari or something. It sure is a strange world, but, that is about all I can say for now, just about 50 words or so!

A Plane Right Outside the House
My Hubby John has always wanted a sailboat or airplane. He watches "Wings over Canada" on TV every week, about general aviation, but will never have enough money for a plane himself.
For those of you who have a plane, though, you can get right into the aviation lifestyle by looking at a Florida villa in a Florida Airpark. Now, wouldn't that be good, to be able to just hop right into the Cessna and go where the heart takes you, with no traffic or parking problems, as your car can stay right there at home. As www.bardellrealestate.com say, "Florida has more private airports and airparks than any other state in the USA", and Bardell even have airports themselves for sale, as well as properties in Airpark Communities. Also of course, the climate in Florida speaks for itself.

Work, work, work!
I hate working shifts. My place does 3 shifts, and they rotate every week, so I can never get used to any single schedule. It is the main reason why Hubby wants me out of there, because his retirement works in shifts as well, to match my own sleeping patterns, or rather sleep lacking patterns.
Then we can go to the Philippines, and I can watch him sweat in the heat, and maybe get Dengue Fever! He is convinced the we can do better there than in Canada, where the lifestyle demands so much expense that requires hard work to support. I can see his point. We all work many hours just to allow us the means to get to the job, what with vehicle costs etc. Oh Well, we will see.

Pheonix Based Furniture Store.
If you live in or around Pheonix Arizona, You may have heard of Mitch's furniture store, Nobody Beat$ Mitch. They have both traditional and contemporary looking styles, and are accredited by the Better Business Bureau, so you can be sure of honesty in their conduct in selling furniture Phoenix style. By clicking on "Galleries" on their homepage, you will see the range of goods by category, including mattresses, various room specialties, and they even have a section specially for childrens rooms, showing a nice slideshow of room examples. Also for the home or business office, again, a great slideshow giving room arrangement ideas. They sell well-made furniture, with names such as Ashley, Poundex, Sandberg, and Ashley Millenium. Actually, it is worth browsing there just to get furnishing ideas, wherever in the world you live, but if that happens to be within reach of the store, then you are luckier than most of us.

* I'd rather be alone. It would be too hard on the head when you know that you are not in good terms with someone.

2. Are you an early bird OR a night owl?
* I would prefer to be an early bird, I grew up going to bed early and do my reviews really early in the mornings. But my lifestyle now prevents me from doing it, which is really sad!

3. When sick, do you prefer to be pampered OR left alone?
*Occasionally, I wanna be pampered, but most of the time, I wanna be alone:)

4. Do you believe in the relative OR the absolute truth?
*That would depends on the situation.

5. Which is worse, the Burning Question OR the Painful Truth?
*I would say, the painful truth.

Impressive

Have you ever noticed how lost you can feel if you don't know the time? My hubby John has stopped wearing a wristwatch since he retired, but is always asking what the time is. Well built clocks are worth more as the years go by, and can become collectors pieces. John has told me that when he lived in England, as a child, he quite often saw Grandfather clocks, with their pendulums swinging slowly, and with what he calls a slow tick-tock. Now there is an opportunity to obtain a clock that will be a similar investment. At www.1-800-4clocks.com they have what is probably the worlds best selection of high quality household and business place timepieces, including Howard Miller grandfather clocks as well as a smaller version of the similar style, which is a wall clock that has a pendulum, which is probably my choice because of not having a big house. Very good value, and a long-lasting investment. I am always impress with these clocks, so grand and with it's beauty, who wouldn't want one? Check out 1-800-4clocks.com for all their selections or you can check http://www.clocksblog.com when you want to wish for a better time in 2008!

Finally!
I just got a phone call from the auto body shop saying that the parts had arrived yesterday afternoon! So, now all I have to do is arrange for a car rental to be picked up on Tuesday so they can get and fix my car. I am guessing it will take them 2 to 3 days, so I will be using a rental car then. Hopefully, they will do a job at it. I was gonna call them and ask them about it, but I guess it just took a little time than I thought for them to get the parts in. This is really weird because it feels like my car is having surgery or something, LOL!

Transporting your goods
MY hubby John has always wanted a sailboat, but not just a little one, he wants an ocean-going one! He once thought about building it at home, but one of the problems is the transportation to the ocean, as it would be too big for a car to tow. I have found an answer for him, at a logistics company, that is, someone specializing in commercial transport, like those trucks you see with large wide loads. LGI Inc. specialize in any heavy transportation in Canada and Mexico, as well as USA. They have all those special truck trailers like flatbeds, and the ones that haul any wide items commercially. It is well worth a visit to their website, if only to look at their special projects page - interesting stuff.

SOMETHING WORTH SHARING
I thought I would share this...

As STROKE is not really uncommon anymore to most people, there are still some things that we don't know about it or some things we should need to know to recognized symptoms.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
STROKE: Remember The 1st Three Letters... S.T.R.
STROKE IDENTIFICATION:
During a BBQ, a friend stumbled and took a little fall - she assured everyone that she was fine (they offered to call paramedics) and just tripped over a brick because of her new shoes. They got her cleaned up and got her a new plate of food - while she appeared a bit shaken up, Ingrid went about enjoying herself the rest of the evening. Ingrid 's husband called later telling everyone that his wife had been taken to the hospital - (at 6:00 P.M. , Ingrid passed away.) She had suffered a stroke at the BBQ. Had they known how to identify the signs of a stroke, perhaps Ingrid would be with us today. Some don't die. They end up in a helpless, hopeless condition instead.
It only takes a minute to read this...
A neurologist says that if he can get to a stroke victim within 3 hours he can totally reverse the effects of a stroke...totally. He said the trick was getting a stroke recognized, diagnosed, and then getting the patient medically cared for within 3 hours, which is tough.
RECOGNIZING A STROKE
Thank God for the sense to remember the "3" steps, STR . Read and Learn!
Sometimes symptoms of a stroke are difficult to identify. Unfortunately, the lack of awareness spells disaster. The stroke victim may suffer severe brain damage when people nearby fail to recognize the symptoms of a stroke.
Now doctors say a bystander can recognize a stroke by asking three simple questions:
S * Ask the individual to SMILE.
T * Ask the person to TALK to SPEAK A SIMPLE SENTENCE (Coherently) (i.e . It is sunny out today)
R * Ask him or her to RAISE BOTH ARMS.
NOTE : Another 'sign' of a stroke is this: Ask the person to 'stick' out their tongue. If the tongue is 'crooked', if it goes to one side or the other that is also an indication of a stroke. If he or she has trouble with ANY ONE of these tasks, call 911 immediately and describe the symptoms to the dispatcher.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Just thought this would be helpful information to all who read this post. Please pass this on, a life could be save by following these very simple tasks...

A lot of celebrations
Birthday celebrations are coming up, not to mention bridal shower and baby showers! Men, I have tons of invitations! Of course, I am delighted to be invited. This means buying gifts. I mean, you are expected to bring something, right? So buying gifts for special occasions like these is one of my problem. Good thing there are places that would give you discounts like Lillian Vernon coupons for all the things I need for gifts. They are an online retailer that carry discount coupons if you are in need of markets gift, houseware, gardening, seasonal, and children's products.

I thought...
.....It's Friday today. I woke up thinking this is my last day of work this week. Hmmmm, it has been a loooong week for me. I didn't do a lot yesterday at work and that just makes me so sleepy and tired. I'd rather have a steady pace. I don't understand though, because there are a lot of overtime going on and still some of us doesn't have work. It seems like they are just wasting their money paying people to come in early or staying back late just to get ahead. And then there's overtime on the weekend. So weird. But, the money is good though, paying us a whopping time and a half every hour we are there! So it can't be bad.

We're going to be on the move
Well, hubby have a sudden plan to sell our house and move to the PI for a couple of years. I am really up to it because I wanted to have a break from here and it would be a ticket for me to quit my job. Furthermore, I am thinking of getting my education further, so it would be my chance to do it. I think he's serious about this, so we will be going to move soon. The snag about this is the packing and moving of household items again. It's really hard to do it and we would really require a moving company. This would be a big move for us. I am so excited about this and so as hubby. He wanted to experience the lifestyle we have over there.

Predictable
Interesting test I took, it's all true though. I was wondering how my test would come out. I guess, I am not that bad, company would love to hire me with this result, I guess. I am really easy to be with. A little bit moody, but hey, I am a woman, and I am allowed! hehehe..

Your EQ is 100

You're average. It's easy to predict how you'll react to things. But anyone could have guessed that.

You're a bit moody, and sometimes you have trouble coping with every day life.

But you're by no means depressed, and your good days definitely out number your bad days.

There's nothing really wrong with your life, but you may not be living up to your actual potential.

Negative emotions can be a real drain of your energy, so make sure you have them under control.

What's Your EQ (Emotional Intelligence Quotient)?

Free Help in Choosing a Webpage Host

If you are blogging with a view to supporting advertising, your own specific web page might be a good idea to bypass advertiser-banned web host sites, or to set up as a second site to advance page rank. So, here is some free help to get set up with a homepage on the Web, as there is now a website to allow you to make a web hosting choice by allowing search features that are Web Host specific, and search their directory database of web hosting companies. Not only that, but they also have a useful FAQ page, and lots of other information that will allow you to enter the correct requirements that you have into the search, that may be very specific to your own needs for services offered, such as disk space, bandwidth, setup fees, email services, and so on. Well worth looking at.

Business
22 January 2008
Owning my own business is one of the option that crosses my mind from time to time. It's a little risky and I have to make my move at the right time. There are a lot of angles I have to consider before quitting my job. I know Business Funding will not be a problem, ezunsecured.com will take care of that. They offer an easy process, fast funding so you could start immediately with your business. They also have excellent service you could count on when you have questions and quarries you need explaining. So that part of the business is done. All I have to focus is to really get the courage to do it.

I am a little disappointed
My jeep is still running on a jammed door since end of December. I thought they will call me last week to fix it. I was in an accident last month, and the guy's insurance company will pay for the whole thing- that I know. The shop that supposed to take care of this said that they will contact me once the parts will arrive. Well, until now, I still didn't receive any calls from them. I am really getting annoyed with the annoying jamming of my door. It just won't shut properly, especially now that's really cold. I am really hoping they will call really soon. It just starts to bug me now.

It's almost here..
Well, January is about to be over, and you will notice a lot of valentine knickknacks all over the mall. Of course, this means that it's time for me to give hubby a hint on what I will want for valentines. I don't think he'll have trouble finding one for me anyways. He knows that he can't be wrong with jewelries, and looking for diamonds online is very easy. I have given him ciaradiamonds.com to check and look around their products once they open. I am sure they will have tons of high-quality diamonds to choose from and they will back them up with their Three-year Insurance Guarantee.

Very cold
Last night must have been the coldest one yet! As soon as I get out of the house, the cold really did hit me. I think it was -20 with the wind chill of about -30deg Celsius. The wind is the killer for me. I just feel bad because my mom gets off work at 10pm and she has to go and use the bus. Of course, it's not as warm as having a car when you commute like that. Waiting for 5 or 10 minutes for a bus will feel like waiting for 30 minutes when it's that cold. Poor mom!

The brand that says it all!

When you say "Rolex", you don't have to explain further. It is one of the most widely known brand of watches ever. My dad is 60 some years old. And one of the things he had been dreaming off is to own any Rolex watch. He said, even if it's pre-owned as long as it's the original stuff. But he have his eye on Rolex Submariner-the first diving watch resistant to 100 meters. This watch is very expensive, and not everybody will have the privilege of owning one. Most authorized dealers of Rolex doesn't discount their product at all. No other watch company can claim having a better resale value than Rolex.

Maybe it's time...
Well, hubby's still out doing something in the kitchen, so I am still able to get in here and do some posts. I think it's really time to get another computer. Maybe a laptop. I really need one all for myself! It's really hard to wait for someone to finish here and do my thing. I can't imagine not being in the computer for a day. It's been part of my routine now and of course, part of my generating some extra income for my trip or whatever. Well, I have to think about it. I have been checking stuff online too for a good deal. I am still debating if I will get a laptop or a desktop for me. I will definitely will get either one, one of this days. There are places online where you can compare prices when which is really good. You don't have to go to stores and be intimidated with store personnel checking out for stuff. I know it's the courteous thing to do, but I just don't want them around because I end up with something I don't want:(

I'm swamp!
Hubby has been in the computer 90% of the time this last few days. He had been doing a lot of writing for a company. It's good in a way, but I have a lot of assignments to do and I am really behind with some of them- a few will expire soon. I think it's time to buy another computer. Arvin's computer is so slow, I really can't use it. And my other one has been taken by my bro for his apartment. Oh well, hubby's out fixing his breakfast, so I will 'minimize' his windows here and will get into my stuff!

Passing on my knowledge
21 January 2008
Since my family came in June. I have done everything to get them started. I have made them aware of the things they have to do. This is a totally different culture. Different rules apply. After getting a job, I got them to try and build their credit by getting a credit card. This is very essential because credit rating is one of the ways financial companies rate you if you are eligible for a loan or something. I may not be here all the time to support them, so I have to make sure that they can stand on their own without using my name or credit card to purchase stuff. Well, of course, based on experience, I have made them aware also that finding and getting a credit card is very easy and if they are not careful, they might end up with not be able to afford to pay them and would ruined their credit. There are companies that will help you though, once your credit has been bad. There is a do it yourself credit repair that will help you re-build you credit.

-21
I woke up and got my son ready for school this morning. It looks so sunny outside, no wind and the morning was promising a good day ahead. My son refused to go to the bus so I have to drop him off to school. Well, it was -21 deg Celsius according to my Jeep! wow! we were like freezing! My body was so shocked that I can barely hold my jaws together. It's so awful:) the look is so deceiving here. It just looks so nice but when you get out, it's freaking cold. No wonder people get out of here to get away for a week or so...

Saving every penny
One of the things I am planning to do for this year is to travel more. So I am really saving every penny I got to save up for this. I am thinking of any possibilities to generate more income for the family so it won't hurt our budget too much when I present a trip or two to hubby. Of course, cutting out on things we don't really need is another one, or thinking of anything that would save us some money will surely help with this.

One of the things I am thinking of doing is getting a phone card instead of calling direct to the PI. Mom always sneaks a call to the PI which costs a lot of money on my part. I really can't say no to her because she misses some family members there. But it would surely help if we can get a phone card for her so her phone usage will be limited to the minutes of the card. Getting one is so easy now, you can just do it electronically.

Her first!

We make it a point that at the end of the week, I will take my son skating. He just love it and I love it too, keep him out of the tv and computer at home. My sis, had tagged along this time, so I snapped a few photos of her first time skating on ice:) She did a good job, didn't fall even once. My skates will now see the day after they were abandoned in the basement. I tried using them once and was embarrassed after falling on my behind. Never did I went back! lol!

my son, trying to help my sister

she's so eager to do it on her own here.
